Course description: This two-day Auriculotherapy course is aimed at practitioners who have already completed the basic course modules 1 and 2. The course focuses on treating children and adolescents with both physical problems and neurodivergent diagnoses such as ADHD and autism. Through the course, you will gain an in-depth understanding of neurodivergence, learn specific Auriculotherapy techniques and gain the tools to apply them effectively.

Theory of Neurodivergence: The course covers neurodivergence, including ADHD and autism. We look at how these diagnoses affect children both physically and mentally, and how Auriculotherapy can help regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety and improve concentration.

Treatment methods: Auriculotherapy is a gentle method for treating both physical and mental conditions. You will learn how to use techniques to affect the nervous system through specific points in the ear and adapt the treatment to individual needs.

Topics covered in the module:

  • Neurodivergence Theory: Understand ADHD and autism, including their physical and mental effects.
  • Auriculotherapy Methods: Learn how ear acupuncture can regulate the nervous system, reduce anxiety, improve concentration and enhance well-being.
  • Treatment of Specific Symptoms:
    • ADHD
    • Autism
    • Physical issues such as pain and tension
  • Zones and Frequencies: Identify and treat effective zones, regulate sensory challenges, and adjust frequencies for optimal results.
  • Treating Children in general: Adapt methods to children's developmental stage and needs, create a safe treatment situation, and communicate reassuringly.
  • Consideration for Children: Customize treatments according to age, developmental level, and create a supportive atmosphere.

Prerequisite: Basic course modules 1 and 2 in Auriculotherapy.

This course gives you the tools to effectively treat children and adolescents with both physical and neurodivergent challenges.

Practical application

Zones and Frequencies: We review effective zones for treating ADHD and autism, and learn how to use specific frequencies to regulate the autonomic nervous system and sensory challenges.

Treating Children in general: Treating children requires a customized approach. The course focuses on adapting Auriculotherapy to children's physical and mental needs, creating a safe treatment situation and communicating effectively.

Considerations: When working with children, it's important to consider their age, developmental level and specific needs. This course will teach you how to adapt your treatments to take into account children's sensitivities and development. Practical strategies for creating a calm and supportive atmosphere during treatment will also be covered.

Dina Alminde

Dina Alminde is a trained Acupuncturist, Physiological Masseur and Auriculotherapist, Posturologist and Auriculomedicine practitioner.

On a daily basis, Dina Alminde treats in its own clinic in the heart of Thisted, in the Thy National Park, and teaches in GODTHJÆLP INSTITUTE.

There can be many causes of reduced fertility. As auriculotherapists, we can help with the following areas:

Hormones: Many women experience hormonal imbalances due to early use of birth control pills for irregular periods, acne or heavy bleeding. These imbalances can persist and affect fertility later in life, especially when trying to conceive. Stress and other factors can also affect our hormonal system.

Sperm quality: We work to improve sperm quality by addressing issues such as low sperm count or inactive sperm. It is possible to optimize sperm quality naturally.

Toxic scars: Women who have used birth control pills, had an IUD, abortion, cone cut, experienced abuse, had their perineum cut during childbirth, C-section or other pelvic surgery may experience therapeutic obstacles.

Cysts: Cysts in the abdomen can be caused by various imbalances in the hormonal system.

We offer support for treatments such as IUI, IVF and ICSI, which often involve hormone therapy and can be offered in the public system.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION

  • In men, challenges with potency and sperm quality can play a crucial role. Erectile dysfunction or low sperm count can be barriers to achieving pregnancy.
  • In women, causes can include conditions such as Endometriosis, PCO/PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome), irregular menstrual cycles or problems with the thickness of the uterine lining.
  • Fertility treatment involves not only physical aspects, but also significant psychological challenges. That's why our course also includes training in trauma management and dealing with therapeutic obstacles. Our goal is to equip you to support men and women through this often demanding and emotionally challenging period in their lives.

              PRACTICAL APPLICATION

              We will focus on identifying specific points related to allergies, both year-round and seasonal, that are relevant when treating these allergies.

              We will cover topics such as:

              • What defines and causes both year-round and seasonal allergies?
              • Identifying different types of allergies and their symptoms.
              • Treatment methods and approaches for managing year-round and seasonal allergies.
              • In addition, you will be given home exercises to share with your patients.
              • Finally, the course will provide an introduction to how frequencies and colors can contribute to significant results in allergy treatment.

              Rikke Godthjælp

              Rikke Godthjælp is the founder of the GMI Institute and serves as school director, educator and practitioner at the institution. Her expertise ranges widely as a trained classical acupuncturist, auriculotherapist (ear acupuncturist), auriculomedicine, chromotherapist (color therapist) and posturologist. She teaches in both Danish and English and runs GODTHJÆLP Institute by the Lakes and Forum centrally located in Copenhagen.
