Education Requirements and Time Allocation for Students

There may be slight variations in the different associations' interpretation of the requirements. We assume that our students must fulfill the following:

  • Anatomy/Physiology 200 hours
  • Pathology 100 hours
  • 50 hours Psychology
  • 50 hours Other therapies
  • 10 hours Clinic operations
  • 12 hours First Aid

E-learning

E-learning can account for up to 100% of theoretical subjects, but no more than 33% of primary care training, according to several associations' rules. Contact your association for exact guidelines.

If you meet the above rules and are registered with an approved association, you can use the title Registered Alternative Practitioner (RAB). You can read more about the benefits of RAB here

MERIT

If you are already health authorized, you will generally receive credit for all of the above, except Other therapies. You should also be aware that your first aid must not be more than 2 years old.

If you are unsure whether you can be approved or if you are missing some of the subjects, we recommend that you contact the association you plan to join after graduation. If you have any questions, you are of course always welcome to contact us.
