Auriculotherapy - You may know it as ear acupuncture.
Auriculotherapy is deeply rooted in the Western understanding of the mind and body as a whole. When we treat with Auriculotherapy, there's not much we can't treat. Some conditions and illnesses we can support, other conditions and illnesses we can treat and get to the root of.
We are Rikke Godthjælp and Stephane Maugendre, MD, and we would like to tell you more about this amazing therapeutic tool called Auriculotherapy.

Auriculotherapy focuses on stimulating specific points on the ear to affect different areas of the body.

The entire body is represented on the ear, with different points corresponding to specific organs, muscles, nervous system, skin, glands, brain areas and body parts. This makes it possible to treat and influence these areas through stimulation of the corresponding points on the ear.

In auriculotherapy, different tools and techniques can be used to stimulate the points of the ear. This can include needles (ear acupuncture), acupressure, magnetic beads, laser or electrical stimulation. Advanced Auriculotherapy can also use frequency, light and danger stimulation. The choice of tool depends on the practitioner's experience, the patient's preferences and the condition being treated.

This educational video gives you an insight into what Auriculotherapy is and can help you decide if this course is right for you.
Our main goal is to share all our knowledge about this amazing subject that has the potential to achieve so much with so few side effects.
As an Auriculotherapist, you can start treating after the first weekend. But the more you delve into the material, the better you can help your patients, achieve improved results and treat more complex conditions.

Rikke Godthjælp
Rikke Godthjælp is the founder of the GMI Institute and serves as a school director, teacher and therapist at the institution. Her expertise spans a wide range as a trained classical acupuncturist, auriculotherapist (ear acupuncturist), auriculomedicine, chromotherapist (color therapist) and posturologist. She teaches in both Danish and English and runs GODTHJÆLP Institute by the Lakes in Østerbro, centrally located in Copenhagen.
Stéphane Maugendre MD
Dr. Stéphane Maugendre has been working with Auriculotherapy and Auriculomedicine since 2013 and teaching since 2017. Practices as a specialist doctor in Auriculotherapy and Auriculomedicine in a chronic pain department in Paris at the Rothschild Foundation pain center. Running his own medical practice in Normandy since 2005.
