Course Description

Jaw, bite and neck issues are closely linked and can significantly affect our overall health and wellbeing. If the jaw is clenched hard or there are malfunctions in the bite function, it can have negative consequences for the whole body.

In our course, you will learn how to treat these challenges, identify associated symptoms and apply Auriculotherapeutic (ear acupuncture) and Posturological techniques for treatment.

Jaw tension and neck problems often occur during periods of emotional turmoil, such as stress, grief, anxiety or anger. We naturally react by clenching our jaw to deal with these emotions, whether we're awake or asleep.

Topics we cover on the module

  • Understanding the impact of the jaw on our hormonal system, central nervous system, vision and concentration, inner ear, the cooperation between the cerebral hemispheres (laterality) and foot posture and its connection to pain issues throughout the body.

  • Treatment methods for the jaw, neck and bite - including relevant points and treatment protocols.

  • Practical exercises to guide your clients through.

  • The impact of mouth breathing on the jaw, neck, bite and general health.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION

This webinar is primarily intended for practitioners such as acupuncturists, massage therapists, reflexologists, psychotherapists, and healthcare professionals such as nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, midwives, and doctors with similar backgrounds.

The course will be held via Zoom, and the course materials will be provided as a PDF file.

If you're a therapist, you can immediately apply your newly acquired knowledge directly to your treatments.

FOR DANISH PARTICIPANTS
After participating in an intensive webinar, you have the opportunity to join a live Q&A session, where you can ask questions directly to the instructor and get further clarification on the course content. Live Q&A sessions are held in January, May, and September.
To register, please email rikke.
Participation in the Q&A is a requirement for RAB approval under Danish law.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

What is posturology?

Posturology is a tool for understanding the body's posture and identifying where a problem lies.

Posturology is used as a treatment method to correct the body's posture. This makes it particularly well-suited for managing physical pain throughout the body and addressing psychological challenges.

Posturology incorporates auriculotherapy into its treatment method.

The course takes place over one weekend and includes a follow-up Zoom session the evening after the weekend.

WHAT POSTUROLOGY CAN DO

Physical pain:

Post-surgery or following physical trauma such as falls, traffic accidents, or improper lifting, problems with posture may arise. When pain occurs, the body adapts to achieve the most appropriate position under the given circumstances. This adaptation can manifest as tension in muscles, connective tissue, fascia, and tendons, as well as twists and rotations in joints, which are reflected in posture. Rotations, misalignments, and twists can perpetuate existing pain and potentially lead to new pain, both acute and long-term. It can be difficult to understand that pain can manifest years or even decades later as a consequence of past complications.

Psychological stress:

The interaction between the two hemispheres of the brain is crucial to the body’s ability to maintain healthy posture and internal alignment. In cases of stress and other forms of mental and emotional strain, this interaction—known as laterality—plays a crucial role. When overload occurs, it manifests not only psychologically but is also reflected physically, particularly through twists and rotations. Therefore, posturology is a powerful approach to both understanding and treating psychological overload.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

Danish

The basic training in auriculotherapy consists of Modules 1, 2, and 3, which form a strong foundation for understanding the body and auriculotherapy.

Auriculotherapy teaches you to identify and resolve blockages that prevent effective treatment. When a person experiences recurring pain, depression, functional disorders, digestive problems, etc., it often indicates blockages in the body. These blockages are aspects that the body either does not understand or has shut down as a survival mechanism.

Auriculotherapy may be the answer to these challenges, and basic training strengthens the foundation for dealing with them.

THIS IS WHAT WE GO THROUGH IN THE TRAINING

  1. AuriculoTherapy Module 1 - FOCUS ON PAIN TREATMENT and basic understanding - get started.
  2. Auriculotherapy Module 2 - FOCUS ON FUNCTIONAL DISORDERS, we go deeper and you learn how to use the VAS pulse to ask the body what it needs.
  3. Auriculotherapy module 3 - ADVANCED AURICULOTHERAPY - frequencies, colors, filters and phases. Here you learn to seek and treat directly on the body, to treat without needles and break the negative cycle when the nervous system shuts down.

The training is a combination of e-learning, webinars and attendance days.

The e-learning part is available 14 days before the attendance days of the course. E-learning includes videos, quizzes and printable material for personal or clinic use. E-learning allows you to prepare thoroughly so that you are well equipped for the training. You have unlimited access to watch the videos at your own pace leading up to the attendance classes.

The webinar day focuses on theory, while the attendance days are dedicated to practical training of techniques, point localization, review of the theory from the E-learning and webinar part, and treatment. Sufficient time is allocated for practicing and applying the learned skills in practice.

WHAT, WHO AND WHERE

After completing the basic training in auriculotherapy, you will have the tools and knowledge to treat various disorders and imbalances. This can include pain relief, stress reduction, managing sleep problems, digestive issues, and emotional challenges. Auriculotherapy can also help strengthen the immune system and improve overall health and well-being. It gives you the tools to work with the body's own healing system and strengthen the individual's ability to achieve balance and health.

The program is aimed at both practitioners and those who wish to start a practice as a practitioner. To get the most out of the program, we recommend that you acquire knowledge of anatomy and pathology either before or during the program. This will strengthen your understanding and ability to apply the skills you have learned in practice.
